This instructional content explains simply how to design a progressive resistance training (RT) program using an established and time-tested concept known as Periodization. The variables involved in designing a RT program are merged and simplified, and provide a safe, evidence-based template for all exercisers to follow. Viewers will gain insight into the fundamentals of strength training and answers to common questions such as, "How much weight should I choose?", "How many repetitions should I perform?", and "How many sets should I do for each muscle group?".
